A rental car is optional if you are staying in Vail as most things are within walking distance and there are complimentary shuttles available. However, if you would like to drive to and from the airport or do sightseeing outside the village, a car is recommended. Ubers and Lyfts are extremely limited in the area.

The weather is typically sunny with clear skies! Expect warm days (temperatures range from the 70s up to the 80s) and cooler nights (temperatures will usually be in the 50-60s). When visiting the mountains, it is recommended to dress in layers as the weather can change quickly, especially in the afternoon. We recommend bringing your hiking shoes and taking advantage of the beautiful summer wildflowers that will be on display this time of year.

Vail sits at about 8,000 feet above sea level. Altitude may or may not affect you, but hydration is incredibly important. If you are having trouble getting acclimated, you can buy oxygen cans around the village and many of the hotel spas will have oxygen bars. You can also coordinate for oxygen delivery or a personal IV to come to your hotel in advance.

Camp Hale is located about 30 minutes from Vail. We will have shuttle transportation to get guests to and from the venue. The primary pickup location will be the Grand Hyatt. However, if you are staying off-site, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate a pickup if possible.
